Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving this past week and enjoyed the Diwali celebrations in the first week of November.
Our apologies for not updating the blog for over a month as we were caught up in Diwali festivities and Thanksgiving break.
In the past 2 Balavihar classes, our topic for discussion was Architecture. A bunch of kids brought forward intriguing insights about the ancient temples in India such as Brahadeeshwarar temple, Meenakshi temple and Golden temple in these sessions. We dwelt on the sophistication and efforts that went into engineering and other principles of science that were considered by the architects and kings from those times. Kids learned Surya namaskar as part of their Yoga class in addition to practicing Geetha Dhayanam shlokas
with Shlokathon teacher Ms. Gayathri.
As mentioned earlier, our Dharmam class will be doing "bhiksha" to Swamiji on Dec 15, 2013. We are looking for a volunteer parent to host this event at their home. Please send us an email confirming the same so we can work with you for arranging it at your place.

all back at BV on Dec 8, 2013. As we have about 3-4 BV sessions before our stage performance on Jan 26th, 2014, we request you to encourage your kids to bring up ideas as well as developing the screen play etc for this performance by next BV session.
